Student Development Paths

The department integrates teaching in art and design to stimulate and nurture students' creative thinking and planning execution abilities. We anticipate that graduates will become elite professionals in cultural arts, creativity, and design-related industries. Future development directions for students are:

(1) Undergraduate Program

  • Artistic Creation:

    • Starting from fundamental creative training, combined with contemporary multimedia and digital art courses, students can pursue professional artistic creation or related application fields such as visual arts and graphic arts.
  • Design Creation:

    • Starting from creative aesthetics training, combined with relevant design courses, students can develop careers in design creativity industries and aesthetic economy fields such as spatial design and industrial design.

(2) Graduate Program

  • Art Management:

    • Building on foundational training in management and marketing, combined with courses related to museums and art curation, students can develop careers in art management and related fields such as cultural administration and curatorial management.
  • Art Criticism and Related Cultural Work:

    • Building on training in art history, art criticism theory, and methods, students can pursue professional art criticism, including reviews for newspapers, magazines, and books, or related cultural enterprises such as art publishing and event planning.
